What's in my makeup bag- My daily glow-y look!

Daily Glow Makeup Look.jpg

Here’s my requested makeup look. This is the makeup I use every day and is in my travel bag at all times. I always go for a sexy, beachy, model look that high lights my skin. This look is youthful and good for every day, plus it is a little more than a “no makeup, makeup look”. I put the products in the order they go on, so follow the makeup tutorial below! By the way, it seems complicated but it actually only takes me 15 minutes from start to finish!

  1. In the morning I wash my face with Dior Micellar Cleansing oil ($42)which makes your skin so incredibly smooth and lush. I love that you don’t need water to wash- micellar cleansers are no rinse and leave your skin very hydrated.

  2. Mario Badescu facial spray with aloe ($12)- I use this before I apply my makeup.

  3. The next thing I do is apply a sunscreen every day, no matter what, rain or shine. I have been using Supergoop, ($19) but I also love Trader Joe’s Vitamin rich moisturizer with SPF 15.

  4. I prime my face with Becca Backlighting primer, ($38) which has a shimmer and glow to it and is my favorite primer (I’ve tried them ALL). I think there are a lot of great options but this is the best for getting that lit from within look and is light weight.

  5. I apply eye makeup first, a trick my makeup artists taught me. So I put on Mac Pro long-wear concealer ($20) on my lid and buff it in with a beauty blender. I actually only like the light tan beauty blender ($22), it’s really soft and bouncy and doesn’t cake on your makeup. (I feel like the pink one is too hard).

  6. One of the coolest beauty tricks I’ve learned is to spray my beauty blender with Tatcha Harper Luminous Skin Mist ($48), so I never use water on my beauty blender. The result is SUPER glowing and gorgeous skin.

  7. I set the lid with Marc Jacobs Coconut Powder ($44 ) which is the most hydrating and gorgeous powder I have ever used. I actually was scared they would discontinue it because I don't think a lot of people know about it, so I bought a bunch of spare ones and put it in my beauty cabinet haha. Honestly, if you try this you will be like THANK YOU EMMY. It’s so hydrating and finely milled. straight up magic. So you can even pack this under your eyes and you don’t see one trace of it.

By the way, I use this brush set from Sephora ($45), which has a big brush with a round head, and I use that to apply the setting powder.

  8. Now I use my finger tip and apply Tarte eyeshadow from the toasted eyeshadow palette ($39) in the shade “flame” which is an orange-red with shimmer and makes my green eyes stand out. It looks intense but if you use the warmth of your finger it looks amazing and super beach-y. I blend the shadow with a brush but, only on the edges.

  9. I take a Bobbi Brown shadow stick ($30) in “truffle”, a champagne gold shade and apply it in my inner corners and into the inner corner of my eye lid.

  10. I use Better Than Sex mascara ($22) and do a couple of coats on the upper and lower lashes.

  11. For foundation I use MAC Studio Fix ($25) -I will never use any other foundation! and mix it with La Mer Oil ($245), I put a few drops in and oh my god! It gives you the most beautiful skin and so lightweight. *The La mer renewal oil is expensive but worth it.

  12. I set with Marc Jacobs Coconut Powder ($44 ) it is transparent and only comes in one shade but is the best.

  13. For bronzer I actually randomly found this Almay one ($7) which is cheap and really beachy. I swirl my brush through all of the shades and apply as an all over bronzer. It gives you a day at the beach glow.

  14. I also sometimes will contour with ”Golden light” Bobbi Brown bronzer ($44), which is what I used to use before I found the Almay one.

  15. I then use my fingers and apply Milk Makeup Blush stick ($24) to my cheeks and do a little dot on my nose for a sun-kissed look.

  16. My favorite part…highlighting! I use Becca Highlight Champagne Pop ($38 ). I apply a little dot on the tip of my nose (so cute) and on the tops of my cheeks and on my forehead to give a sort of “sheen” look.

  17. I lied, lips are my favorite. I get asked this every day “what lip color do you use??” I use MAC lip liners (subculture and whirl) and put either clear balm or NYX lipgloss. I hate lipstick.

Set with Tatcha Harper Luminous skin mist and you’re done!
